Active Fraud Shield is a trustworthy and sophisticated internet stream filter that detects, displays and blocks almost all fraud attempts. It is designed for the PayPal online payment service in order to protect PayPal accounts against phishing and fraud. Active Fraud Shield is a proxy program, scanning all internet traffic for detection of PayPal phishing or fraud. The utility uses special rules and a special detection engine. Different phishing and fraud sites arise every day, so there is a need for constant search for such sites and adding them to the blacklist. Active Fraud Shield uses a special Heuritsic and Site Analyze System that carefully traces new sites and adds them automatically. The program also has a special, permanently updated IP List that checks the sites against the official PayPal IP lists.
